'남는 건 사진뿐'이라는 말이 있듯이 추억은 기록될 때 또 다른 힘을 갖는다. 하지만 기존 카메라는 단적인 순간이나 아니면 영상밖에 담아낼 수 없어 아쉬움을 남겼다.

이제는 내 시선이나 주변 모습을 역동적으로 촬영할 수 있는 액션캠 시대다.

#GoPro Featured Photographer: @robbiecrawford About the shot: With the HD2 came an improved sensor that upped the quality of the images immensely, along with increasing the image size to 10 megapixels from the 5 megapixel HD1. This meant the images were now quality enough for print publications which was really exciting. GoPro also made a vast improvement in frame rate with the HD2 taking it up to 10 fps which made it a lot more capable of capturing the perfect frame. How I captured the shot: This particular image was taken after I had won $2500.00 in a GoPro photo contest on Facebook. I decided to reinvest the money into my passion by taking my #GoPro on a trip to #Hawaii. I had lived in Hawaii for years as a professional rider working with photographers but this would be my first trip on the other side of the lens. On my last day of the trip we decided to check out a spot my friend and I used to shoot at with photographers years before and were blessed with perfect waves. Having an understanding of surf photographer etiquette from being on the other side of the lens, I swam behind a local photographer the whole time giving him his space. When he got out this beauty came straight to me and I found myself alone in the lineup with my good friend @evanfa ... he positioned himself perfectly and pulled into this beautiful cave and we ended up landing the first print cover of a US Publication taken with a GoPro. It's still to this day one of my most memorable days of shooting.

GoPro Featured Photographer - @chrisrogersza About the Shot: Wakeskating in The Philippines - This shot was taken while filming a #wakeboarding and #wakeskating video for my YouTube channel at @cwcwakepark in The #Philippines. This particular shot was inspired by a similar one I had seen fellow South African and GoPro Athlete @dieterhumpsch capture with his GoPro while wakeskating. How the Shot was Captured: I knew it was going to be tricky to capture this shot without getting some spray on the lens of the GoPro so I put the camera into burst mode 30/3 in hope that I would capture the shot before too much water would splash on the lens of the #GoPro. I also gave the camera lens a good lick so as to create a small film over the lens that would act as a #water repellent. I had the GoPro on the end of a pole and held the pole out behind me with the GoPro upside down with the auto-rotate turned on so the camera would capture the photo the correct way round. I then triggered the #burstmode using the wifi remote strapped to pole and as I triggered the shot I lowered the GoPro down into the wake of my #board to capture this shot. Shot with the #HERO4Black with protune settings WB native, colour flat, iso 100, sharpness medium, ev -0.5. #Travel #hoverboard

GoPro Featured Photographer - @justinjenny About the Shot: "Basketball Blaze" After being cooped up inside for a long day of rain we decided to make the best of the clear nightfall for some night photos. The rain left a nice puddle on the basketball court which I knew would illuminate and reflect the sparks from the steel wool. The dampness and moisture also eliminated the risk of a brushfire so we knew it would be a safe bet! My buddy Andrew climbed to the top of the hoop as I queued my HERO4 Silver and the rest is history. How it was Captured: I set my HERO4 silver on my tripod and took a test Auto Exposure on single-photo, night-shot mode to make sure my framing was right. After getting that dialed I set my camera for a 30 second exposure with pro tune on Max ISO 400 and Sharpening set to Low. The result was this beautiful photo! #GoPro #nightphoto #basketball
