Daesung's Wild Ride on Variety Show Stage!

‘Variety show cheat code’ 'Daesung' of BIGBANG has returned — and he’s wilder than ever. The 13th episode of U+ Original’s variety show ‘Go My Side 4’, aired at midnight on March 31, features Daesung as a special guest, and his high-energy presence instantly took over the set.

As soon as he appeared, the cast and crew welcomed him with his iconic solo song ‘Look At Me, GwiSoon’, cranking up the energy in the studio. Daesung responded in full force, dancing passionately and improvising lyrics on the spot, heating up the stage with his trademark chaotic charm. Laughing at himself, he joked, “I danced to break the ice… and now I’ve turned into ice powder.”

One of the show’s most hilarious moments came when comedian 'Pungja' showed up in a pink wig and outfit, spoofing G-Dragon’s signature style. She introduced herself as Pungdragon — her parody of GD’s MAMA performance look had Daesung in stitches. The MCs couldn’t resist chiming in, joking that she looked more like Okja from Bong Joon-ho’s film than a K-pop idol. When Park Na-rae playfully warned she might get a cease-and-desist, Pungja fired back, “I’m ready to be sued,” adding, “The wig’s too tight anyway,” sending the room into fits of laughter.

Daesung also took a heartfelt moment to speak directly to BIGBANG’s fandom, VIPs. The MCs, many of them long-time fans, shared their own memories. Model Han Hye-jin revealed, “BIGBANG meant a lot to me. When I was a struggling rookie in New York, their music helped me survive some tough times.”

When asked about plans for BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary, Daesung smiled meaningfully and replied, “We’re giving it a lot of thought — me, GD, and Taeyang. We’re not going to let the anniversary just pass by.”

He also recalled his favorite moment on stage, saying, “Our final tour before my military enlistment — every second of it felt like peak dopamine.” Reflecting on BIGBANG’s comeback stage at MAMA last year, he described it as “pure joy.” When the MCs asked if he ever felt empty after the lights and cheers fade, Daesung confidently said, “Not at all. I love my job,” adding that “lying in bed after a great show — that’s dopamine paradise.”

Meanwhile, on March 29–30, G-Dragon held his solo concert and teased fans by saying, “For BIGBANG’s 20th anniversary, I’ll be throwing a sexy coming-of-age ceremony.” On the second day, Taeyang and Daesung joined him on stage, delivering a full BIGBANG reunion with “Last Dance” and “We Like 2 Party,” igniting the crowd and hinting that this comeback may only be the beginning.
