Behind the Scenes: Jay Park's Candid Financial Insights.
Known for his standout fashion and signature tattoos, Jay Park recently opened up about how his mom reacted the first time he got inked — and let’s just say, she wasn’t thrilled.
Appearing on Salon Drip 2, a popular YouTube talk show hosted by comedian Jang Do-yeon, the singer was asked how his mother responded when he got his first tattoo. Without hesitation, Jay answered, “She hated it — a lot.”

He added, “I think it was because of the way tattoos are perceived socially. The stigma wasn’t great back then.”
But times have changed. With a grin, Jay said, “Now that people know I’m not a gangster, I think she’s okay with it.”
The conversation got even more candid when Jang pointed to a tattoo on Jay’s hand and said it must have hurt. Jay revealed, “The back of my head hurt the most. The scalp is definitely the most painful spot.”

When asked if he really got a tattoo on his scalp, he replied, “Yeah, I have an angel there. A lot of people get tattoos on their head. If I want to look edgy, I just shave my hair. If not, I grow it out and keep it clean.”
Jay also touched on the topic of his finances. When asked about his net worth, he admitted, “Honestly, I don’t really know how much I’ve saved. My dad manages my assets. I just want to live well and be healthy. I’m not super greedy about money.”

He went on to share that he once Googled “Jay Park net worth,” just out of curiosity. “I also look up other celebrities’ net worth — Justin Bieber, Usher, Beyoncé, Jay-Z… I think mine was listed at around 13 billion won. I don’t know the exact number, but since I’ve been active for a long time, maybe it’s a bit more than that,” he said with a laugh.
Jay Park is currently gearing up for his 2025 Jay Park World Tour ‘Serenades & Body Rolls’ in Seoul, set to take place on May 24 and 25 at the Olympic Park Handball Gymnasium.
