G-Dragon's Lightning-Fast Highball Sensation.
Kpop Star, BIGBANG's G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) has done it again — his first-ever alcohol collaboration, the Peaceminusone Highball, sold out in less than a second when pre-orders launched on April 30 through convenience store chain CU.

According to industry insiders, CU released exactly 888 bundles (each containing six cans) via its mobile app, Pocket CU, at 8:18 AM — a time carefully chosen to reflect G-Dragon’s favorite number, 8, and his birth year, 1988.
Demand was instant and overwhelming. Fans began flooding the app as early as 8:00 AM, causing server delays and long virtual queues. Within moments, a “sold out” sign appeared — not even a full second had passed. The frenzy was so intense that the app reportedly experienced temporary server issues.

Frustrated fans took to social media to express their disappointment, posting messages like, “Why can’t I log in?” and “It’s already sold out?!” Some fans even rushed to physical CU stores, hoping to find out when stocks might be available.
The Peaceminusone Highball marks the first-ever alcoholic beverage collaboration for G-Dragon’s brand, which has previously teamed up with global luxury labels. This exclusive drink reflects GD’s signature taste — it’s a wine-based highball with fresh lemon, styled with a lemon slice shaped like Peaceminusone’s iconic daisy, a symbol of peace and hope. The packaging design, featuring G-Dragon’s custom graphics, also elevates the product into a must-have collector’s item for fans.

A BGF Retail representative said, “It sold out so fast we couldn’t even calculate the number of seconds. While Pocket CU has seen high demand before — for items like fresh lemon highballs and Dubai chocolates — this is the first time we’ve ever seen sales complete within literal seconds.”

Limited reservations for 888 bundles will continue daily through May 7 via the Pocket CU app. To celebrate the launch, a series of Peaceminusone Highball pop-up stores will also open:
-CU T2 Incheon Airport Transportation Center: already in operation as of April 30.
-CU Myeongdong (Seoul) and CU AK & Hongdae: opening later in May.
At pop-up locations, only individual cans will be sold, with a 1-can-per-person limit. Pricing at 6-can bundle: ₩24,000, and Single can CU stores available at ₩4,500.
