Heavenly Judgment: Will Hae-sook Survive?
Just when viewers thought things might be settling down in 'Heavenly Ever After', the drama has thrown in a major twist.

The latest episode hinted at Kim Hye-ja’s character facing expulsion from heaven, while Han Ji-min’s true identity becomes more and more elusive. This dual mystery is fueling intense anticipation for Episode 5.

On May 2, ahead of its fifth broadcast, JTBC released new still cuts teasing a critical development: Lee Hae-sook (played by Kim Hye-ja) may be forced to leave heaven.

A Heavenly Mistake—or Something More?
In the previous episode, Hae-sook had been growing close to Som (played by Han Ji-min), convinced that she was the reincarnation of her beloved daughter figure, Lee Young-ae (played by Lee Jung-eun).
But in a twist ending, it was revealed that the so-called escapee from hell was actually Park Chul-jin (Jung Sun-chul)—a newly recruited follower of the “Heaven Church.” And to Hae-sook’s shock, the real Young-ae made an unexpected appearance at the very end.
Now, Hae-sook finds herself in danger of being exiled from heaven. The newly released stills show Go Nak-jun (Son Suk-ku) looking gravely concerned as he inspects Hae-sook’s “grape plate”—a heavenly warning system. In this universe, a grape is filled from the sky every time someone commits a wrongdoing. Once six grapes are collected, the person is automatically sent to hell.
Though rarely seen, the infamous “troublemaker of heaven” Hae-sook has already collected four grapes, placing her on the list of those who need “spiritual reformation.”
Adding more intrigue, Lee Young-ae—who caused the big twist in Episode 4—reappears. What’s her real story, and will she reunite with Hae-sook?

As viewers gear up for the next episode, all eyes are on whether Han Ji-min’s character will finally be unmasked, and how Hae-sook will cope with the looming threat of banishment to hell.
The production team stated, “Hae-sook will receive her final grape during her reformation duties. As previously warned, her time in heaven is nearing its end.” They added, “Hell, like heaven, is imagined in a totally unique way—something you’ve never seen before. Watch closely to see how sins are judged, and what punishments await.”
According to Good Data Corporation’s latest weekly buzz rankings Heavenly Ever After saw a 65% increase in popularity compared to the previous week, climbing to No. 5 on the chart. With its steep upward momentum, the show is expected to gain even more attention as the story unfolds.
Episode 5 of Heavenly Ever After airs May 3 at 10:40 PM KST on JTBC.
