Unmatched! SEVENTEEN Becomes the Only K-pop Group to Earn This U.S. Spotlight

SEVENTEEN has once again made history.

On May 1 (local time), SEVENTEEN was named to Gold House’s 2025 A100 List, becoming the only K-pop group to be included this year. Gold House is a nonprofit organization that celebrates and supports AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander) leaders across culture, business, and activism. Each year, the A100 list honors 100 Asian figures who have made a significant impact on American culture and society.

Gold House described SEVENTEEN as “K-pop icons”, emphasizing the group’s unique identity built on its three-unit system—hip-hop, performance, and vocal teams—and their signature “self-producing” model.

This recognition places SEVENTEEN alongside global powerhouses such as Bruno Mars, Oscar-winning director Bong Joon-ho, and Nobel Prize-winning author Han Kang, further proving the group’s cultural influence on a global scale.

SEVENTEEN’s international success doesn’t stop there. Earlier this year, the group ranked No. 3 on the 2024 Global Artist Chart by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI)—the highest among all K-pop acts. They also took home trophies at two of America’s most prestigious music award shows: the 2024 Billboard Music Awards and the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.

SEVENTEEN will continue their 10th anniversary celebrations with the release of their 5th full-length album ‘HAPPY BURSTDAY’ on May 26. The album title combines the word “birthday” with “burst”—symbolizing both celebration and explosive renewal. It reflects the group’s determination to be reborn as a new SEVENTEEN, ready to start a bold new chapter.
