Kim Taeyang, a member of rookie K-pop group NEWBEAT, will be suspending physical stage activities after suffering a minor rib fracture.

On May 21, his agency Beat Interactive released an official statement saying, “Kim Taeyang recently experienced chest pain during practice and visited the hospital. After undergoing tests, he was diagnosed with a minor rib fracture.”

Doctors advised the artist to minimize physical movement for the time being. As a result, Kim will not be able to participate in performances involving intense choreography. However, he is determined to join scheduled events, including the opening stage at Chung-Ang University’s festival on May 21, by remaining seated on stage without performing choreography.
