Korean musical actress Jung Min-hee has firmly denied online rumors linking her to the ongoing blackmail case involving football star Son Heung-min.

On May 23, Jung took to her Instagram Stories to publicly address the situation, sharing screenshots of direct messages (DMs) and comments she had received. The messages falsely accused her of being connected to the scandal that has shaken headlines in Korea.
Alongside the screenshots, Jung wrote, “It’s not me. Who is spreading this? Please stop messaging, following, and commenting,” expressing clear frustration over the baseless speculation.

The DMs included accusations such as “Are you the woman who blackmailed Son Heung-min?,” “Were you really Son Heung-min’s ex-girlfriend?,” “People are saying your Instagram belongs to his ex—is it true?”
These messages came in the wake of a major controversy involving Son Heung-min. Two individuals were recently arrested on charges of blackmailing the footballer by claiming pregnancy and demanding large sums of money.
According to Seoul’s Gangnam Police, a woman in her 20s (identified as Ms. A) and a man in his 40s (Mr. B) were formally detained and charged on May 22. Ms. A allegedly sent ultrasound images to Son’s representatives last June, claiming she was pregnant and received ₩300 million in exchange for keeping the matter private. Mr. B, said to be her boyfriend, reportedly demanded an additional ₩70 million in March but was unsuccessful.
Amid the investigation, online speculation wrongly identified Jung Min-hee as the ex-girlfriend involved. The rumors quickly spread across internet forums and reached her personal social media accounts.
Jung Min-hee made her musical debut in 2016 with 'Aida'. Most recently, she appeared on the tvN variety show 'Fresh off the Sea', where she performed the viral ‘like JENNIE’ dance inspired by BLACKPINK’s Jennie.
