On June 8, YG posted a video titled ''YG NEXT MONSTER | EVELLI – 'Nosebleeds''' on its official blog, marking EVELLI’s first public appearance. The video was part of YG’s monthly trainee evaluation series, and EVELLI performed a cover of Doechii’s ''Nosebleeds''—showcasing her fierce stage presence and unmistakable YG flair.

EVELLI is a 15-year-old trainee born in 2010, originally from Australia. Impressively, she speaks three languages: English, Korean, and Spanish. Since the release, fans have been buzzing with excitement, leaving comments like “She looks like Jennie,” “So YG-coded,” and “She has serious star power.”

Earlier, YG’s founder Yang Hyun-suk confirmed via YouTube that the next girl group will be a 4-member team. A promotional campaign has been launched to introduce each member one by one. However, he also hinted that a new boy group might debut before the girl group officially launches—meaning fans may have to wait a little longer for their full debut.

Still, anticipation is already building around both the remaining female trainees and potential male group members. With the spotlight now shifting to EVELLI, all eyes are on YG once again.

Will this be the start of YG’s next girl group era? And could EVELLI lead a new wave in K-pop?
