Multiple explosions captured in North Korea (Video)

The terrifying explosions have killed and hurt dozens of people in North Korea.

According to Daily NK, on Aug. 3, 2020 around 6 PM, one of housing in residential area of Hyesan City was set on fire, which led to multiple liquefied petroleum gas explosions.

The explosions occurred 10 times and it extended to large fire. Since the city is a close border between China, the incident was observed and videotaped on Chinese side.

Daily NK reported that 6 people were dead at the scene and 30 people were hospitalized. 3 people at the hospital pronounced dead the next morning.

The fire was burning for an hour and half. However, firefighters did not show up at the scene so neighbors had to put out the fire.

북한 접경지에서 대형 연쇄 폭발 관측됐다 (영상)

북한에서 대형 가스폭발 사고가 나 수십 명이 죽거나 다쳤다.

사고는 지난 3일 저녁 6시 10분쯤 북중 접경지인 북한 양강도 혜산에서 발생했다. 북한 전문 매체 데일리NK에 따르면 하모니카 주택이라는 북한식 다세대 주택에서 화재가 발생하면서 LPG 연쇄 폭발로 이어졌다.

폭발은 10여 차례 이어지면서 대형 화재로 번졌다. 접경지인 중국 장백현 지역에서도 관측 가능할 정도였다. 영상으로도 생생하게 담겨서 전해졌다.

매체는 폭발 여파로 주민 6명이 즉사하고, 30여 명이 화상을 입어 병원으로 후송됐다고 전했다. 후송된 인원 중 3명도 다음날 아침 사망했다.

불길은 한 시간 반 동안 이어지면서 하모니카 주택 한 동과 인근 주택을 불태웠다. 그러나 소방차가 출동하지 않아 화재 진압이 이웃 주민들에 의해 이뤄진 것으로 전해졌다.

북한 당국은 '부주의로 생긴 사고'라며 별다른 보상을 내놓지 않겠다는 입장을 밝힌 것으로 알려졌다.
