<35> 말뚝박기

이 게임은 말뚝박기라고 부른다. 먼저 여러 명이 두 편으로 나눠 대표를 정하고 그 두 사람이 가위바위보를 해 공격과 수비를 정한다. 그다음, 수비 편의 대표가 큰 나무나 벽에 기대서면 나머지는 앞사람의 가랑이 사이에 머리를 끼어 말을 만들고, 공격 편은 그 말 위에 올라타 노는 놀이다. 공격 편은 대표부터 순서대로 달려와 수비 말 등 위에 뛰어 올라탄다. 수비 편이 무게를 이기지 못하고 주저앉으면 다시 말이 돼 계속해야 한다. 말에 올라타면 말은 몸을 이리저리 틀어서 탄 사람을 떨어뜨리려 하고 말 탄 사람은 떨어지지 않으려고 말을 꼭 잡고 있는다. 공격 편이 가위바위보에서 지거나 말에서 떨어지면 공격과 수비가 바뀐다.

Piling

This game is called malddukbakgi, or 'piling game' (말뚝박기 ‒ pronounced mal-dduk-bak-gi). First, the heads of the two teams decide which team is the offense and defense by playing rock-paper-scissors. Then the leader of the defensive side stands against a large tree or wall and the rest of the players place their head between the legs of the person in front of them and make a horse. The objective of the offense team is to climb on this horse. Each member of the offense team runs and jumps onto the back of the defense team. If the defense falls down without overcoming the weight, it has to take the role of a horse again. When on the horse, it twists and turns in order to try and drop the riders while the riders hold on tight so as not to fall. If the offensive side loses rock-paper-scissors or falls off the horse, teams will switch roles.
