한국 화폐 단위의 0의 개수가 많아서 외국인들에게는 모든 한국인이 백만장자로 보일 수 있다. 국제 환율의 복잡성을 피하고 싶다면, 대략 850달러는 1,000,000원인 것을 기억하면 된다. 넷플릭스 시리즈 오징어 게임 우승자는 45,600,000,000원을 받았지만, 환산하면 38,000,000달러다. 이러한 거대한 액수는 한국 원화와 달러의 화폐단위 차이 때문이다.
Everyone is Millionaire in Korea
The number of zeros in the Korean currency unit is so large that to foreigners, all Koreans seem to be as millionaires. For those who don’t want to get in complexities of counting zeroes, just remember that about $850 equals 1,000,000 Won. In the Squid Game series, the winner of the game received 45,600,000,000 won which is about $38,000,000. Definitely a mind boggling amount, but this is due to the difference in monetary units between the Korean Won and the USD.
