IVE's Debut Japanese Album 'WAVE' Makes a Splash in Japan

IVE(Yujin, Gaeul, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz, Leeseo) sweeps the Japanese charts.

According to the latest chart released by Oricon, the first Japanese album of IVE, 'WAVE,' achieved the top spot on the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking for the period of May 29 to June 4.

'WAVE,' released on May 31, immediately topped the Oricon Daily Album Chart for seven consecutive days (May 30 to June 5). Additionally, it reached the top spot on the Tower Records Japan's comprehensive album chart (May 29 to June 4) and Billboard Japan's Top Albums Sales chart (May 29 to June 4).

The music video for the title track 'WAVE,' which was pre-released on June 9, surpassed 10 million views. It received a lot of love and continued to climb the YouTube trending rankings after its release.

Album 'WAVE' includes two original Japanese songs, 'WAVE' and 'Classic,' as well as 'After LIKE,' 'LOVE DIVE,' and the Japanese version of the track 'Take It' from their first single album 'ELEVEN.'

IVE, who made a splash on the Oricon chart with their first Japanese album, is now being closely watched for what future records they will achieve.
