BTS's Jin Becomes the First Celebrity to Advertise on the Front Page of Kookbangilbo(Defense Daily) Newspaper

On the 13th, which marked the 10th anniversary of the debut of the group BTS, a special advertisement featuring member Jin was published on the front page of Kookbangilbo (Defense Daily) newspaper, which is viewed by military personnel, gaining attention.

The Defense Media Agency, under the Ministry of National Defense, published the advertisement congratulating Jin's 10th anniversary debut on the bottom of the front page.

In the advertisement, Jin is seen wearing a purple outfit representing his fandom, ARMY, and the phrase "Happy 10th Anniversary" is written to celebrate the milestone.

Additionally, there is a message stating, "June is the Month of Patriotism and National Memorial Day, commemorating the 70th anniversary of the armistice of the Korean War," and words of encouragement, "Thank you for the dedication and hard work of our proud soldiers. We support our servicemen and women." This advertisement was placed in Kookbangilbo newspaper by a fan team called "Kim Seokjin Promotion Team," who paid for the ad. It is the first time that an entertainment advertisement has been featured in Kookbangilbo newspaper.

A representative of Kookbangilbo newspaper explained in a phone call with Yonhap News that they received the proposal from Jin's fandom early on and determined that it aligned with the purpose of supporting our soldiers during the Month of Patriotism and National Memorial Day.

Jin, who enlisted in the military in December of last year, currently holds the rank of private. Following Jin, J-Hope also enlisted as the second BTS member in April.
