Singer Choi Sung-Bong, who gained recognition as the runner-up on the show 'Korea's Got Talent,' has passed away.

According to the police on the 21st, Choi Sung-Bong was found dead at his residence in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, around 9:41 a.m. the previous day (20th). He was 33 years old.
Choi Sung-Bong posted a message on his social media the previous morning, implying suicide. Police and the fire department, who received a report, forcibly entered Choi Sung-Bong's house and confirmed his death. Based on the scene and the written message resembling a will, the police believe that Choi Sung-Bong took his own life. They are currently investigating the details with his family and acquaintances.

Choi Sung-Bong made his debut as a singer after winning the runner-up title on the tvN audition program 'Korea's Got Talent' in 2011. In 2014, he released his first album titled 'Slowpoke.'
In 2021, Choi Sung-Bong revealed that he was battling multiple cancers, including colorectal, prostate, and thyroid cancers. He received support from the public, but it was later revealed that his claims about being diagnosed with cancer were false, leading to controversy.
