Casting Confirmed for Squid Game Season 2
Full-scale Filming to Begin in the Second Half of this Year
Netflix has revealed the cast lineup for Season 2 of the Netflix original series "Squid Game."

On the 29th, Netflix unveiled photos of the returning cast members from Season 1, including actors Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-jun, along with the new cast members for Season 2.
Accompanied by photos from the script reading session, Netflix announced, "Ki-hoon, the Front Man, and Jun-ho are gathered in one place. They will create the second story of 'Squid Game,' exclusively on Netflix."

Additionally, script reading photos of new cast members for Season 2, including actors Yim Siwan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, former IZ*ONE member Jo Yuri, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, and Lee Jin-uk, were also unveiled. Netflix stated, "The first beginning of Season 2 of 'Squid Game' with new faces. Once again, a story that will astonish the world is coming. 'Squid Game' Season 2, exclusively on Netflix."

The news of T.O.P's appearance in Season 2 of "Squid Game" surprised netizens. As T.O.P had been relatively inactive in acting after a social controversy in the past, the response to his casting in "Squid Game" Season 2 has been mixed.
Meanwhile, "Squid Game" is a series that depicts the struggle of people fighting for survival in a game where 45.6 billion won is at stake. Since its release on Netflix in 2021, it has gained immense popularity worldwide, breaking various records.
With the complete cast lineup now revealed, "Squid Game" Season 2, which is set to captivate the world, will commence full-scale filming in the latter half of this year. Director Hwang Dong-hyuk, who also worked on Season 1, will be in charge of the script and directing once again.
