Production Team Denies Marketing Stunt Amid Growing Interest
tvN’s highly anticipated new drama My Dearest Nemesis (working title), also known as Black Salt Dragon, has found itself embroiled in unexpected controversy even before its premiere.

Recently, a series of photo booth snapshots featuring lead actors Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook surfaced on social media and online forums. The photos show the two actors in matching leather jackets, hugging and even sharing a kiss, sparking heated discussions. It was later revealed that the images were leaked, allegedly through a photo booth service, adding fuel to the controversy.
On January 15, according to MyDaily and other outlets, the production team of My Dearest Nemesis (Black Salt Dragon) confirmed that the photos are from scenes in the drama and acknowledged the leak. They firmly denied speculation that the images were intentionally released as a marketing strategy.

Starring Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook, My Dearest Nemesis (Black Salt Dragon) is based on a popular Naver webtoon. The drama combines romance and comedy with a fresh premise: Baek Soo-jeong (Moon Ga-young), a cold and calculating team leader nicknamed "Executive Killer," and Ban Joo-yeon (Choi Hyun-wook), a chaebol heir harboring a "black dragon" in his heart, cross paths at work 16 years after meeting as adversaries in an online game. Their "unsealed romance" promises a unique blend of humor and emotion that aims to captivate viewers.
Although the unexpected leak has placed the production team in an awkward position, it has undeniably piqued public interest in the drama. The chemistry between Moon Ga-young and Choi Hyun-wook showcased in the leaked images has amplified excitement among fans, igniting lively discussions across social media and online communities.
However, the production team remains cautious, as the premature release of pivotal scenes could serve as unintentional spoilers for potential viewers.
My Dearest Nemesis (Black Salt Dragon) is set to premiere on February 17 at 8:50 PM KST on tvN, kicking off the network’s new Monday-Tuesday drama lineup.
