Surpassed 1 Million Album Streams in Just 2 Hours and 20 Minutes After Release!
PLAVE, the virtual idol group, has once again proven its impact in the K-pop industry by taking the top spot on the Melon(Music Platform) TOP100 chart with its latest mini-album Caligo Pt.1, released on February 3 at 6 PM KST.

The blockbuster-style music video accompanying the album has become a hot topic, with fans eagerly streaming the album upon its release. The title track Dash quickly soared to No. 1 on Melon’s TOP100 chart, showcasing the excitement surrounding PLAVE’s return.
The album, which includes five tracks (Dash, RIZZ, Chroma Drift, 12:32 (A to T), and Island), achieved an incredible milestone by securing the top five positions on the Melon TOP100 chart simultaneously. Just 2 hours and 20 minutes after its release, Caligo Pt.1 surpassed 1 million streams on Melon, making it the second-fastest album to do so, following SEVENTEEN’s FML in April 2023.

The title track Dash is the first song released in 2025 to reach No. 1 on the Melon TOP100. What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that PLAVE outperformed established chart-toppers such as IVE, G-Dragon, aespa, and BLACKPINK’s Rosé, who all dominated the charts during the same period.
Previously, PLAVE’s second mini-album ASTERUM:134-1, released in February 2024, set impressive records with 6.04 million streams within 24 hours on Melon. With Caligo Pt.1 surpassing 7.4 million streams by 10:10 AM KST on February 4, the group has already hit a new career high. Fans and industry watchers are now eager to see how much further the group’s success will grow.

A New Chapter of PLAVE’s Expanding Universe
Caligo Pt.1 marks a creative leap beyond the ASTERUM trilogy, delving deeper into PLAVE’s unique world-building. The mini-album showcases a variety of genres, including rock, hip-hop, R&B, ballads, and city pop, reflecting the group’s versatile musical identity. The members actively participated in songwriting, composing, choreography, and production, reinforcing their image as self-producing idols.
PLAVE’s member Hamin has been nominated for “February’s Popular Star” on the fan voting platform Giftree. The star with the most cumulative votes by the end of February’s final week will be featured in an advertising campaign at Hongdae Station, receive a promotional article package, and have a tree planted in their name as part of a charitable contribution.
With explosive streaming numbers and fan support, PLAVE is poised to continue making waves in the K-pop industry, cementing its reputation as a rising force in both virtual and mainstream music spaces.
Giftree can be easily accessed by searching for "Giftree" on major search engines, and anyone can sign up using their Naver or Kakao accounts. Users can earn up to 74 voting tickets per day by completing simple tasks, such as reading articles or watching advertisements.
