“Without Hesitation…” News of Won Bin Emerges Following Kim Sae-ron’s Passing

Actor Won Bin has reportedly visited the funeral of Kim Sae-ron, his former co-star from the film 'The Man from Nowhere', following the tragic news of her sudden passing.

On February 17, Won Bin was seen at Room 7 of the funeral hall at Asan Medical Center in Songpa-gu, Seoul, where Kim Sae-ron’s memorial has been set up. It was reported that Won Bin, along with his wife Lee Na-young, sent a condolence wreath to express their grief and personally paid his respects, bidding farewell to the late actress.

A Meaningful Connection Through 'The Man from Nowhere'

Won Bin and Kim Sae-ron shared a deep connection through their work in the 2010 film The Man from Nowhere, in which they starred together. At the time, Kim Sae-ron, though still young, delivered a remarkable performance, earning her recognition as one of the most promising young actresses in the Korean film industry. Her chemistry with Won Bin was widely praised for enhancing the film’s emotional depth.

Despite being known for his private and reclusive nature, Won Bin quietly visited the funeral hall upon hearing the tragic news, paying his respects in a rare public appearance.

Fellow Actors and Industry Peers Mourn Kim Sae-ron’s Passing

In addition to Won Bin, several other colleagues of Kim Sae-ron, including Han So-hee and Kim Bo-ra, were also reported to have attended the memorial. Many figures from the entertainment industry, including Gong Myung, Don Lee(Ma Dong-seok), and IU, sent condolence wreaths to honor her memory.

Kim Sae-ron was found deceased in her residence in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, on February 16. A friend, concerned after failing to reach her, visited her home and later alerted the authorities. The police confirmed that there were no signs of external intrusion or foul play but are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of death.

Kim Sae-ron made her acting debut in 2009 as a child actress and gained widespread recognition through The Man from Nowhere. She continued her career with notable performances in films such as 'A Girl at My Door', 'Snowy Road', and 'The Villagers', as well as the drama 'Mirror of the Witch.'

However, in 2022, she was involved in a drunk driving accident, which led her to halt her activities and enter a period of self-reflection. Kim Sae-ron’s funeral service is scheduled for February 19, though the burial site has yet to be determined.
