Highly Anticipated Drama Marks Seo Kang-joon’s Return—Surprising News Before Premiere!

MBC’s highly anticipated drama ‘Undercover High School’, marking Seo Kang-joon’s return after military service, will be available for simultaneous streaming on TVING. The online streaming platform announced on February 19 that the drama, set to premiere on February 21, will be released on TVING at the same time.

A Spy Disguised as a High School Student

‘Undercover High School’ follows a National Intelligence Service (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student to track down a missing stash of gold bars from the era of Emperor Gojong. The drama is expected to deliver a mix of action, comedy, and suspense as the protagonist navigates teenage life while fulfilling his mission.

On the same day, a highlight teaser was released, showcasing the thrilling premise. The clip begins with Jung Hae-seong (played by Seo Kang-joon) receiving an order to retrieve 800 billion KRW worth of lost gold and infiltrating a high school. His homeroom teacher Oh Soo-ah (played by Jin Ki-joo) grows suspicious, saying, "What if he’s not actually a student?"

Meanwhile, his NIS teammates—Ahn Seok-ho (Jeon Bae-soo), Park Mi-jung (Yoon Ga-yi), and Go Young-hoon (Jo Bok-rae)—keep a close watch on him. As tensions rise, Hae-seong faces unexpected emergency situations, leading to both action-packed sequences and laugh-out-loud moments.

A major highlight of the drama is Hae-seong’s struggle to adapt to school life. From failing tests miserably to getting caught up with troublemakers, he finds himself in hilarious and unpredictable situations. His chemistry with his teacher Soo-ah also adds an intriguing layer to the story.
