Suzy and Lee Jin-wook have officially wrapped filming for their upcoming film The 7AM Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted, now entering post-production ahead of a winter release.

🎬 A Healing Story for Anyone Who’s Loved and Lost

Set to be a poignant and relatable tale for anyone who’s gone through heartbreak, The 7AM Breakfast Club for the Brokenhearted (실연당한 사람들을 위한 일곱시 조찬 모임) finished filming in March 2025. Directed by Lim Sun-ae, the film stars Suzy, Lee Jin-wook, Yoo Ji-tae, and Geum Sae-rok, and is based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Baek Young-ok.

💔 Love, Loss, and a Morning Ritual

The film centers around Sa-gang (played by Suzy) and Ji-hoon (played by Lee Jin-wook), two people who join a unique support group that meets at 7AM to exchange symbolic items from past relationships. Through these objects — and the stories behind them — the group navigates the pain of breakups and the process of healing.

Suzy portrays Sa-gang, a woman coming to terms with her breakup from airline captain Jung-soo (Yoo Ji-tae), delivering what’s said to be one of her most emotionally nuanced performances yet.

“I felt so grateful to work with such an incredible director and cast. I remember enjoying the novel when I first read it, and seeing it come to life was surreal. Like Sa-gang, I found comfort through this role — and I hope audiences feel that same warmth and healing when they watch the film,” said Suzy.

Lee Jin-wook takes on the role of Ji-hoon, a relationship consultant navigating the complexities of a long-term breakup with Hyun-jung (Keum Sae-rok).

“I’m proud we completed filming safely, even though I’m a bit sad it’s over. This character allowed me to explore the quieter, deeper emotions of heartbreak. I truly hope the audience walks away with comfort and connection,” he shared.
