On April 17, veteran actor Jung Eun-pyo shared a touching story about Park Bo-gum on Instagram. He praised the actor’s moving performance in the hit K-drama and revealed a personal anecdote that highlights Bo-gum’s sincerity off-screen.

“My daughter Ha-eun once appeared on a TV show when she was in elementary school and said she liked Park Bo-gum,” Jung wrote. “Months later, after the broadcast aired, a gift box arrived at our home. Inside was a Love in the Moonlight DVD, a signed photocard, and a handwritten letter.”

Jung explained that Park Bo-gum had no personal connection to their family. “We’d never met him, so I assume he must have seen the show, tracked down our address, and sent the gift himself. I was deeply moved by his kindness. Even his handwriting was beautiful—just like his heart.”

Alongside the post, Jung shared photos of the thoughtful gift. The letter from Bo-gum to Ha-eun read, "I used to watch ‘Bungeoppang Star Junior Show’ often, and I was touched to hear that the adorable girl from the show cheered for me. I’m sending this card with gratitude. I hope you grow up healthy and wise.”

The gesture left many fans touched, praising Park Bo-gum’s attentiveness and genuine warmth.

Jung Eun-pyo also added a humorous twist to the post. “My wife was praising Bo-gum’s character in the drama When Life Gives You Tangerines, so I asked her, ‘How good of a husband is he supposed to be?’ She went on and on about how great both the character and the actor are... and I felt a tiny pang of jealousy,” he joked.

He continued playfully, “I want to watch the drama—but I’m not sure if I can handle seeing someone out-husband me like that!”

He ended the post with a mix of admiration and competitive spirit. “I really do like Park Bo-gum, but now I’m worried that Yang Gwan-sik (his character) might just be a better husband than me. Thank you, Park Bo-gum, for your warm heart. Yang Gwan-sik… you’re officially my rival.”
