Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo Spotted with Newborn Son

Actress Kim Min-hee and director Hong Sang-soo were recently seen enjoying a sunny day outdoors with their newborn son.

On April 25, photos circulated on online communities showing the couple taking a stroll with their baby at Misa Lake Park in Hanam, Gyeonggi Province. The child was born just about a month ago.

In the photos, Kim Min-hee can be seen cradling the infant while walking along the lake, with Hong Sang-soo smiling brightly as he gently places a hat on the baby's head. A middle-aged woman also appears to be accompanying the couple on their walk.

It’s believed the two had originally taken the baby out in a stroller before carrying him, at which point the photos were taken.

News of Kim Min-hee giving birth surfaced on April 9. She delivered a baby boy at a maternity hospital in Gyeonggi Province and has since been recovering at a postpartum care center.

Interest in the couple spiked after the sighting, especially as photos showing Kim Min-hee holding the baby confirmed earlier reports. Back in January, news broke of her pregnancy, and the recent images have further fueled public attention.

Kim Min-hee and Hong Sang-soo have maintained a relationship since working together on the 2015 film Right Now, Wrong Then. In 2017, they publicly acknowledged their relationship during a press screening for On the Beach at Night Alone, describing each other as “lovers.” Despite losing his divorce case in 2019, Hong remains legally married.

Born in 1982, Kim Min-hee has become a mother at 43. For Hong Sang-soo, who has an adult daughter from his marriage, this marks his first son—with Kim Min-hee.
