Faker's Star Power Expected to Boost Seoul Tourism!
T1’s Faker, the Legendary progamer of League of Legends has been appointed the global ambassador and promotional model for the Seoul Shopping Festa 2025.
Along with the announcement, the official poster for the event has also been revealed.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Tourism Organization announced on April 28 that the Seoul Shopping Festa 2025 will be held from May 1 to May 31, offering a month-long shopping and tourism festival aimed at both domestic and international visitors.
In a video posted on the event’s official website, Lee Sang-hyeok, better known as Faker, shared a supportive message: "I hope many people will come to this attractive city and enjoy."

Now in its 17th edition, this year’s festival will feature 3,936 stores from 258 companies across seven sectors—shopping, accommodation, fashion, culture, medical, and food & beverage.
Various events will be held throughout Seoul, creating a festive atmosphere citywide.

In 2025, the festival will also spotlight "K-tourism products" through specially curated e-commerce promotions, aiming to expand global awareness and make Korean tourism more accessible to international consumers.
Targeting young tourists from Chinese-speaking countries, Japan, and Southeast Asia, the campaign will maximize brand promotion through influencer collaborations, experiential programs, and engaging social media video content. Additionally, a global flea market event will take place on May 3–4 at Namsangol Hanok Village.
Through this massive festival, visitors can enjoy not only concerts and cultural performances but also special discounts across various categories—making May the perfect time to visit Seoul.
More information about participating brands and detailed event schedules can be found on the official Seoul Shopping Festa website.
