Goodbye Ju Ji-hoon, Hello Jung Hae-in: Ha-young’s New Romance Gets a Wild Twist in Lovestuck
Netflix has officially confirmed production of its upcoming romantic comedy series Lovestuck, starring Jung Hae-in and Ha-young.
Announced on May 14, the series follows Go Eun-sae (played by Ha-young), a prosecutor suffering from amnesia, and Jang Tae-ha (played by Jung Hae-in), a former gangster-turned-boxing coach who insists he’s her boyfriend. What unfolds is a sticky, suspenseful, and sweet cohabitation romance between two unlikely housemates.

The series is helmed by director Kim Jang-han, known for Do You Like Brahms? and My Demon, and reunites him with writer Mo Ji-hye, four years after their last collaboration on You Raise Me Up—raising expectations among drama fans.
The casting alone is enough to create buzz. Jung Hae-in, often dubbed a “romance master,” returns as the stoic yet passionate Tae-ha. Once a rising youth boxing star, Tae-ha lost his way and joined a gang—only to later escape and rebuild his life as a boxing gym coach. His path collides with Eun-sae’s during a final mission for the organization, where she suffers an accident and loses her memory. Tae-ha then spins a life-or-death lie, pretending to be her boyfriend.
Jung Hae-in has earned a loyal fanbase through realistic, emotionally rich roles in Something in the Rain, One Spring Night, and the rom-com The 8 Show (Mom's Friend's Son), proving his ability to bring heart to every genre. His return as a man willing to risk it all for love promises even more intensity and charm.

Ha-young takes on the role of Go Eun-sae, a top-tier prosecutor from the Seoul Central District’s anti-corruption division. Known for her sharp instincts and flawless work ethic, Eun-sae has always been the definition of “cool, capable, and efficient.” But when she loses all memory while investigating a violent gang, she wakes up in a countryside clinic with no recollection of her name, job, or age—and finds a man by her side claiming to be her boyfriend.
Having captivated viewers with her fierce and savvy performance in Netflix’s The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call (with Ju Ji-hoon and Choo Young-woo), Ha-young now turns to a quirkier, stickier kind of drama. As Eun-sae slowly falls for Tae-ha in the most unexpected way, viewers can expect both laughter and heart-throbbing tension.
Lovestuck promises to be a bold, unconventional romantic comedy that explores love, memory, and identity—with a healthy dose of chaos.
