‘Resident Playbook’ Dominates the Buzz and Delivers a Special Treat Before the Final Episode

Actors Go Youn-jung, Shin Sia, Kang You-seok, and Han Ye-ji are stepping up to sing the final OST for Resident Playbook.

According to Studio MaumC on May 14, the Part 10 OST, sung by Go Youn-jung (as Oh Yi-young), Shin Sia (Pyo Nam-kyeong), Kang You-seok (Eom Jae-il), and Han Ye-ji (Kim Sa-bi), will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on May 17.

Resident Playbook is a spin-off of the beloved series Hospital Playlist. It follows the chaotic and heartwarming journey of first-year medical residents as they build true friendships and grow together through the ups and downs of hospital life.

What makes this final OST even more special is that it’s performed by the lead cast themselves. Fans can expect a fresh, youthful energy distinct from the Hospital Playlist's Mido and Falasol band, adding an extra emotional layer to the show’s finale.

The drama has been a hot topic across multiple metrics, including viewership ratings, buzz rankings, and video views. According to the latest report by Good Data Corporation, a K-content analysis firm, Resident Playbook ranked No. 1 in overall buzz for four consecutive weeks.

Cast members Go Youn-jung (Oh Yi-young) and Jung Joon-won (Koo Do-won) have also held the No. 1 and No. 2 spots in the cast buzz ranking for four weeks straight. Joining them in the top ranks are Kang You-seok, Han Ye-ji, and Kim Hye-in (Myung Eun-won), bringing the total to five cast members making waves in the rankings.

The drama, which drew curiosity even before its release over how many episodes it would have, is set for 12 episodes. With just two episodes left, the emotional finale is just around the corner. Episode 11 airs at 9:20 PM on May 17.
