Culinary Love Triangle Heats Up!

One K-drama is taking over both ratings and Netflix — and it's all thanks to word-of-mouth buzz. 'Tastefully Yours', an original drama by Genie TV, is quickly becoming a breakout hit. After its fifth episode aired, it soared to No.1 in Netflix Korea’s Top 10, proving its popularity. It also recorded its highest viewership yet, hitting 3.4% nationwide and 3.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area (Nielsen Korea).

But beyond the numbers, the story is heating up.

Following a kiss, the reactions between Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si) and Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul) couldn’t be more different. Beom-woo goes to work with butterflies, while Yeon-joo insists it was a mistake and tries to draw a line. Unable to hide his disappointment, Beom-woo shows up drunk and pleads, “Let’s go on just one real date — then decide.” Yeon-joo refuses in words but her eyes say otherwise.

The two decide to officially start dating after hosting an international in-law meeting between a Korean and French couple. But their budding romance is interrupted by the sudden appearance of Yeon-joo’s ex — and former colleague — Jeon Min (played by Yoo Yeon-seok), who walks into their restaurant, Jeongje. Now the head chef of Le Murie in Sapporo, Jeon Min apologizes for past mistakes and asks her to come back. But Yeon-joo firmly refuses, saying it was her decision to walk away.

Watching from the shadows, Jin Myeong-sook (Kim Shin-rok) gives Han Beom-woo Yeon-joo’s culinary school diploma and photos from her time at Le Murie. Only then does Beom-woo realize the impressive background she’s been hiding.

On the day of the in-law gathering, the couple impresses everyone with their food and hospitality. Thanks to the full support of Jin Myeong-sook and Shin Chun-seung, the event wraps up successfully. The two then enjoy a quiet date with a stroll through a hanok village and a late-night movie.

Later, Yeon-joo asks Jeon Min to meet. She tells him they’ve both changed and that it's time to let go. Though he struggles to accept it, Yeon-joo makes it clear she’s moved on — and heads straight to Beom-woo, who’s been anxiously waiting.

Wanting to be honest, Yeon-joo opens up about her past to Beom-woo: her time at a prestigious culinary school, her relationship with Jeon Min, and how he asked her to come back. She reassures Beom-woo that she has no intention of returning to that life.

But then comes the twist: the next day, she disappears — leaving behind only a short letter. She's gone to Sapporo. Her departure stuns both the staff at Jeongje and viewers. Why did she really leave after revealing everything? Does she truly plan to return?

All eyes are now on Han Beom-woo. Can he bring her back and protect their fragile love — despite Jeon Min’s interference?

After the episode aired, viewers flooded online communities with reactions, praising the heightened drama brought by Yoo Yeon-seok’s arrival, calling Go Min-si’s emotional acting “next level,” and expressing full support for Kang Ha-neul. The shocking cliffhanger at the end of episode 5 left fans stunned, with comments like “That cliffhanger? Brutal.” and “I need the next one now.”

Episode 6 of 'Tastefully Yours' airs on ENA at 10 PM (KST) on May 27 and will be available as a free VOD on Genie TV right after. It’s also currently streaming on Netflix.
