A Musical Journey of Masks and Emotions
Blending Nostalgia with Modern Storytelling
IU and Cha Eun-woo Unite Their Visual Power in the New MV for 'A Beautiful Person'
The visual dream team of IU and Cha Eun-woo just came to life.

On May 29, EDAM Entertainment released the music video for ''A Beautiful Person'', a track from IU’s third remake album ''Flower Bookmark 3'', via her official YouTube channel.
Following the title track ''Never Ending Story'', this is the second music video from the album—and it’s filled with witty direction and a symbolic narrative.

A Legendary Rock Song, Reimagined for Today
''A Beautiful Person'' is a modern reinterpretation of the legendary Korean rock song by Shin Joong-hyun, blending a nostalgic sentiment with a contemporary twist.
The arrangement was handled by alternative K-pop collective Balming Tiger, with member sogumm also contributing to the outro’s lyrics and composition.

The video begins with the familiar melody and lyrics. It features a luminous-faced boy and a shadowed girl as protagonists, following their journey from childhood to adulthood.
The Story Behind the Masks
As the boy grows older, he begins to hide his glow behind a mask, burdened by the discomfort that his “light” brings.
One day, he encounters a girl who also wears a mask—and is inexplicably drawn to her.
In a rooftop scene where IU and Cha Eun-woo finally appear together, the two characters remove their masks and meet face to face, embracing each other's true selves.
The video ends with a twist, and both IU and Cha Eun-woo add narration, giving it an extra emotional layer. Compared to the previously released ''Never Ending Story'' MV, this one captivates with a completely different style—fresh storytelling and striking visuals.
Fans Can’t Get Enough of This Duo
Fans are loving the unexpected pairing, commenting: “Approved chemistry!,” “Visuals beyond legendary!,” and “We need them in a K-drama, like now!”
