The latest Star Ranking poll for male actors has ended with Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Junho, and Byeon Woo-seok taking the top three spots, showing once again how intense K-drama fandom voting has become.

According to the final results of the 169th Star Ranking Male Actor poll, which closed on June 18 at 3 p.m. KST, Kim Soo-hyun claimed first place with 49,451 votes.
Close behind him was Lee Junho, who finished in second place with 39,342 votes. The gap between the two actors was around 10,000 votes, making the race one of the most closely watched contests of the week.
Byeon Woo-seok ranked third with 17,757 votes, maintaining his strong position as one of the most popular romantic leading men among global fans.
Kim Soo-hyun Takes No. 1 in Star Ranking
Kim Soo-hyun’s first-place finish reflects his continuing power as one of Korea’s most recognized Hallyu actors.
Even during periods when public attention shifts between dramas, endorsements, and upcoming projects, Kim has consistently remained a major name in fan-driven popularity polls. His latest win shows that his international fandom remains highly active and organized.

Lee Junho Narrowly Misses the Top Spot
Lee Junho’s second-place finish was also significant.
The 2PM member and actor earned 39,342 votes, placing him firmly near the top of the chart and showing the strength of his fandom across both music and drama audiences.
Junho has continued to expand his reputation as an actor after building a successful career as an idol. His ability to move between stage performance and screen acting has made him one of the most watched idol-turned-actors in Korea.
His strong result in the June poll confirms that fan support for him remains powerful, especially as anticipation grows for his next acting project.

Byeon Woo-seok Holds Third Place
Byeon Woo-seok completed the top three with 17,757 votes.
The actor has become one of the most talked-about names in Korean romance dramas, drawing attention for his warm screen presence and fast-growing global fandom.
His third-place ranking shows that his popularity remains steady even in a competitive field dominated by long-established stars. For many fans, Byeon Woo-seok represents the newer generation of K-drama leading men who are quickly gaining influence both in Korea and overseas.

Why Star Ranking Matters
Star Ranking is a weekly fan-voting platform that allows fans to support their favorite actors and celebrities.
The results often become a snapshot of current fandom power, showing which stars are receiving the most active support at a given moment.
There are also promotional benefits connected to top rankings. When a celebrity holds the No. 1 spot for four consecutive weeks, fans can receive major outdoor billboard advertising support in busy Seoul locations. Fan-created videos may also be displayed on the screens, giving fandoms another way to publicly celebrate their favorite stars.
The competition has become even more important with the start of the 170th Star Ranking voting round, which began immediately after the previous poll closed on June 18. Voting for the new round will continue until June 25.
Starting with the June voting cycle, Star Ranking results are also being reflected in the scoring system for the Asia Artist Awards 2026, better known as AAA 2026. That means weekly voting results may play a role in deciding major year-end award outcomes.
This change gives fans even more reason to participate, as their votes can now influence both weekly rankings and larger award-season results.
Kim Soo-hyun and Lee Junho Prepare for Major Projects
The top two actors are also drawing attention for their upcoming work.
Kim Soo-hyun is preparing for the release of ‘Knock-Off,’ a large-scale crime comedy series set during the 1997 IMF financial crisis. The drama follows an ordinary office worker who becomes involved in the underground counterfeit market and rises to power in that world.
Lee Junho is also preparing for a major transformation in the upcoming suspense drama ‘Viking.’ He is set to play Han Ji-yeol, a cold and strategic third-generation chaebol figure. The drama is expected to feature an intense rivalry between Lee Junho and veteran actor Ju Ji-hoon.
With both actors preparing high-profile returns, their Star Ranking competition is likely to remain intense in the coming weeks.
The June Star Ranking results show how active and competitive K-drama fandoms have become.
Kim Soo-hyun’s win, Lee Junho’s close second-place finish, and Byeon Woo-seok’s strong third-place ranking reflect three different types of star power: long-running Hallyu dominance, idol-actor versatility, and rising romantic lead popularity.
As voting results begin to connect more closely with AAA 2026, the weekly competition is expected to become even more heated.
For now, Kim Soo-hyun leads the chart, but with Lee Junho and Byeon Woo-seok close behind, the next voting round could bring another major shift.
