In the show, Eru's dad, Tae Jin-ah wishes his son to get married.

Eru, shot a drama in Indonesia, which later lead him to release songs in local market. It was a difficult journey at first. However, Indonesian fans slowly accepted his talent.

He became no.1 in Indonesia's music program and sold out his ''Black Glasses' singles. Furthermore, Eru had his solo-concerts in Indonesia.

Eru said in an interview, "Indonesians fans think me as a friendly foreign guy". He added "I'm thankful for my fans and my dad".

지난 29일 SBS PLUS '밥은 먹고 다니냐?'에서는 태진아 씨가 출연해 가난한 어린시절부터 아들의 성공기까지 다양한 이야기를 털어놨다.

이날 방송에서 태진아 씨는 "이루만 결혼하면 이제 바랄 게 없다. 이루가 인도네시아에서 왕자 대접을 받는다"라고 말해 관심을 모았다.

이어 태진아 씨는 "이루가 '헬로 굿바이'라는 드라마를 촬영했다. 인도네시아에서 해보자는 생각이 들어서 내가 제안했다. 처음에 3개월동안 했는데도 안되더라"라고 말했다.

처음에는 전단지를 들고 길거리에서 직접 나눠주는 등 눈물겨운 노력을 했는데 이제는 전단지를 돈을 주고 사는 팬이 있을 정도로 위상이 달라졌고, 인도네시아 대사관에 태진아 부자 사진이 걸리기도 했다고.

태진아 씨 아들 이루는 인도네시아에 진출하여 한류 가수로 거듭났다. 이루는 인도네시아에서 한국 가수로는 처음으로 지상파 음악 프로그램 1위, 한국어 음반 '까만안경' 매진, 3만 명 규모 단독 콘서트를 열며 인기를 누리는 중이다.

이루는 최근 출연한 '라디오스타'에서 인도네시아 속 다른 아이돌과의 차별점에 대해 “현지인들에게는 샘 해밍턴처럼 친근하고 재밌는 외국인 이미지로 활동한다”고 자신만의 비결을 밝혔고, 아버지 태진아 씨 만의 뛰어난 홍보 마케팅 전략을 인정하기도 했다.
