The actress reveals her most-worn, most-loved sneakers — and why comfort now comes first
Actress Han Ga-in has revealed her ultimate go-to shoes — and they’re not what you might expect from a celebrity with a wardrobe full of designer labels.

In a recently released YouTube video, Han gave fans a rare look at her personal sneaker collection, which spans 40 pairs. She noted that after 20 years of acting, she’s accumulated a fair share of shoes but now gravitates toward comfort more than anything else. “It’s cold outside, and I have low blood pressure, so I wanted to create content from home,” she shared, while introducing her “most loved” items.
Among her collection were five pairs from high-end luxury brand Chanel. However, Han candidly admitted that while she loves the look, she finds most Chanel shoes uncomfortable. “My feet are sensitive, so I can’t wear typical Chanel styles. Even the sneakers that cost over 2 million won are hard to wear for more than two hours,” she said.

She also emphasized her personal style preferences: “I don’t wear high heels. I’m 168cm tall, so I don’t need the extra height—and I can’t walk well in them anyway,” she laughed. After becoming a mom, she found herself leaning even more toward practical footwear. “When I have to wear heels for shoots, I need someone to help me walk,” she added.

So what’s her true favorite? None other than the New Balance 992.
Han called it her undisputed “one-pick” among all 40 pairs. “It doesn’t hurt my feet, and it goes well with literally everything,” she said, highly recommending the sneaker.

The New Balance 992 is known globally for its connection to Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, who famously wore them. First released in 2006 and relaunched in 2020, the shoe is praised for its craftsmanship—built with 72 individual parts, over 80 manufacturing steps, and around 24.133 minutes of production time per pair. It features ABZORB cushioning, wide sizing options, and a retro design that blends seamlessly with casual, office, or daily outfits—another reason Han loves it.
Its popularity has led to skyrocketing resale prices, with fans scouring second-hand platforms and sale events to get their hands on a pair.
In a world of sky-high heels and luxury labels, Han Ga-in’s pick is a refreshing reminder that sometimes the best fashion choice is one that doesn’t hurt your feet.
