Recently revealed: Kim Go-eun’s quiet acts of kindness
Actress Kim Go-eun has quietly continued to support children in need, offering hope and healing beyond the spotlight.

On May 5, her agency BH Entertainment announced that Kim Go-eun had donated 50 million KRW (approx. $37,000 USD) to Seoul National University Children’s Hospital to help improve medical care for children in low-income families in celebration of Children’s Day in Korea.
This donation is not a one-time gesture. Since 2021, Kim has been making regular contributions to assist pediatric patients suffering from chronic and critical illnesses, especially those whose families face financial hardships. Her support has been used to fund treatments and enhance hospital environments for children in medically underserved communities.
Kim Go-eun made her acting debut in the 2012 film Eungyo, earning both the Grand Bell and Blue Dragon Film Awards for Best New Actress with her bold, breakout performance. She went on to receive acclaim for lead roles in dramas like Cheese in the Trap (2016), Goblin (2016), and Yumi’s Cells (2022).

Her career reached a new high with the 2024 hit film Exhuma (파묘), where she played a shaman named Hwa-rim. The film surpassed 10 million viewers and earned her Best Actress in Film at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards, further cementing her status as one of Korea’s most respected actors.
Beyond her on-screen achievements, Kim continues to use her influence to bring warmth to the world. She is set to appear next in two upcoming Netflix K-dramas: You and Everything Else and The Price of Confession.
