Rising to stardom through The Glory, actress Shin Ye-eun gives a surprising update.
Shin Ye-eun recently reached out to students of Sungkyunkwan University for help. On May 19, she cautiously opened up through her Instagram Story, saying, “Ah, I wasn’t going to ask this, but…”
She continued with a question that drew smiles: “Sungkyunkwan students, why aren’t there any 3-credit online classes for the seasonal semester? Have there never been any? Please help me out. Am I just not seeing them?”

Using the “Ask Me Anything” Q&A feature, she clarified, “No, I’m the one asking this time.”
Born in 1998, Shin Ye-eun is now 27 and entered Sungkyunkwan University’s Department of Acting for Theatre, Film and TV in 2016. Since debuting in 2018, she’s remained active in her career, which has delayed her academic progress.

In a post-drama interview following the finale of tvN’s Jeongnyeon: A Star Is Born last year, she shared, “I still have one semester left before graduation. I really want to graduate soon. It’s kind of embarrassing.”
Shin Ye-eun first gained recognition through the hit web drama series A-Teen, later appearing in He Is Psychometric, More Than Friends, The Glory, and Yumi’s Cells Season 2, solidifying her screen presence. In 2023, she played Heo Young-seo in Jeongnyeon, and in 2024, she made her big-screen lead debut in the film Secret: Untold Melodies, expanding her emotional acting range.
Shin Ye-eun's Next Move: A Disney+ Period Drama
While juggling college life, Shin Ye-eun is also preparing for her next big role. Disney+ recently unveiled an original Korean historical series titled The Murky Stream, set to explore deep themes of power, ambition, and redemption. The announcement came during the Disney APAC Showcase in Singapore, where the streaming giant confirmed that Shin Ye-eun will star alongside Rowoon and Park Seo-ham.
The drama is expected to captivate audiences with its rich narrative and high-stakes emotional arc—marking another major project for Shin as she continues expanding her acting portfolio.
