Kim Da-mi, known for her quiet demeanor, takes a stand against injustice.
Actress Kim Da-mi is drawing attention after revealing how she manages her emotions.
On May 25, a new video titled “She hasn’t done that many projects, but why is her impact so strong?ㅠ And she’s just so cuteㅠ;;” was uploaded to the YouTube channel Fairy Jaehyung.

In the video, Kim Da-mi appeared as a guest and had an engaging conversation with host Jung Jae-hyung.
During the interview, Kim shared, “I’m careful about expressing my thoughts. Even when I talk with the director before starting a project, I hesitate to say much because I haven’t officially joined yet, and it might come off as presumptuous.”

Kim, who admitted she wants to get better at expressing herself, continued, “I used to be even more reserved. I couldn’t express myself well and just endured things. These days, I speak up more. I try to express myself when necessary.”
Jung Jae-hyung then asked, “Is it the on-set environment that made you that way? What do you do when you’re frustrated or witness something unjust during filming?”
Kim replied, “I usually hold it in about three times. But when I feel something is truly wrong, I quietly say, ‘This doesn’t feel right.’”

When asked why she tends to hold back, she explained, “I’ve often regretted showing my emotions. When you reveal your bad feelings, the other person feels the same — and I didn’t think that was a good thing. I end up going home and kicking my blanket, thinking I wasn’t rational. So I try to hold it in and speak up thoughtfully.”
Kim Da-mi debuted in the 2018 film The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion, earning acclaim for her powerful performance as a rookie actress. She went on to star in the 2020 JTBC drama Itaewon Class with Park Seo-joon, Our Beloved Summer, and the film Soulmate, showcasing her range across various roles. Most recently, Kim is appearing as profiler Lee Na in the Disney+ series Nine Puzzles with actor Son Sukku, connecting with viewers once again.

On May 14, actress Kim Da-mi (right) spoke about her chemistry with Son Suk-ku during the production press conference for the Disney+ original series Nine Puzzle, held at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
