Dressed in a sharp suit adorned with a Korean flag pin, he opened with, “Hello, I’m actor Park Bo-gum,” and continued, “It’s early summer — a season that brings to mind fresh beginnings.”

He then introduced his upcoming drama: “Starting this Saturday, I’ll be returning in JTBC’s new series Good Boy, playing Yoon Dong-joo, a former boxing gold medalist turned elite police officer. I’d like to begin this new journey together with all of you.”

He added, “Please show lots of love and support. And today, I’ll be sharing the weather with you.”

Park Bo-gum smoothly transitioned into the weather report, captivating viewers with his natural gestures, clear pronunciation, and calm tone.

“The weather tomorrow will be just as intense as the excitement for the new drama,” he said. “Seoul will see a high of 26 degrees, similar to today. As temperatures continue to rise heading into June, we’ll be entering full-blown summer heat.”

He continued, “There’s a chance of strong showers in eastern regions during the day, so if you’re in those areas, it’s a good idea to keep a small umbrella handy. Where it doesn’t rain, skies will be clear and the sun strong — don’t forget your sunscreen.”

“As for morning temperatures, Seoul and Busan will start off at a cool 15 degrees, but by midday, cities like Chuncheon, Cheongju, and Daegu will climb to 27 degrees. By the end of the week, highs will approach 30 degrees, with large temperature swings expected. Please take care of your health,” he concluded.

Following the global success of the Netflix hit When Life Gives You Tangerines, Park Bo-gum is stepping into his next big role. He took on the role of weathercaster as part of promotions for the upcoming JTBC action-comedy series Good Boy, which premieres on May 31, after Heavenly Ever After.

Good Boy is a youth action-comedy crime drama about former medalists who become special police officers, trading their medals for badges as they fight against a corrupt world full of injustice. The series airs every Saturday and Sunday.

Park Bo-gum returns to the small screen as Yoon Dong-ju, a former boxing gold medalist turned elite special police officer in the series. Joining him are Kim So-hyun as Ji Han-na, Oh Jung-se as Min Joo-young, Lee Sang-yi as Kim Jong-hyeon, and Heo Sung-tae (Squid Game actor) as Ko Man-sik — a powerhouse cast that promises sparks both comedic and dramatic.

He is also set to lead the highly anticipated action blockbuster The Sword: A Legend of the Red Wolf, continuing his streak of genre-defying performances on both the small and big screens.

The first episode of Good Boy premieres on Saturday, May 31 at 10:10 PM KST on JTBC.
