According to the FUNdex report released by K-content competitiveness analyst Good Data Corporation, Our Unwritten Seoul ranked #3 in the 4th week of May 2025 in the TV-OTT drama buzz chart—just one week into its premiere. Even more impressive, Park Bo-young topped the individual buzz rankings, with co-star Park Jin-young (who plays Lee Ho-soo) also landing on the list, confirming the drama’s soaring popularity. Viewership ratings have also skyrocketed, breaking records by episode 2.

Our Unwritten Seoul tells the compelling story of twin sisters who are identical in face but opposite in every other way. Their life-swapping deception sets off a journey of tangled lies, personal growth, and unexpected love. In the series, Park Bo-young plays not two, but four personas: the original sisters Yoo Mi-ji and Yoo Mi-rae, plus Mi-ji pretending to be Mi-rae, and Mi-rae pretending to be Mi-ji—marking her first-ever multi-role performance since debut.

Following its premiere, viewers praised Park’s transformation with comments like, “I forgot she’s playing dual roles—it feels like completely different people,” and “Same actress, but totally different vibes.” Her immersive acting has drawn viewers into the complex identities and emotional rollercoasters of each character.

The tvN series, which has no webtoon source material, is a fully original drama. Its character relationships and plot breakdowns can be found on the official site. Our Unwritten Seoul airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM (KST), and is also available on TVING, Netflix, and other OTT platforms.

Before her standout performance in Our Unwritten Seoul, Park Bo-young starred alongside Choi Woo-shik in Netflix’s Melo Movie—a much-hyped romance drama that ultimately failed to make a global impact. Despite strong anticipation and a star-studded cast, the series struggled to connect with audiences.

Viewers cited its slow pacing and lack of emotional depth as key drawbacks. While visually appealing, Melo Movie quickly faded from public buzz, especially on the global stage. For Park Bo-young, it marked a rare stumble. But with Our Unwritten Seoul, she has clearly bounced back—showcasing her versatility and reclaiming her place in the spotlight.
