Controversy Erupts: BLACKPINK Star's Family Under Scrutiny
BLACKPINK member Jisoo’s older brother has publicly denied recent allegations of illegal filming and distribution of explicit content.
According to a report by Ilgan Sports, Jisoo’s brother, referred to as Mr. A, responded on May 29 to a post that appeared on Blind, an anonymous online community for office workers in Korea.

In his statement, Mr. A strongly refuted the claims, calling them “completely false,” and revealed that he is planning legal action. “I am currently discussing the matter with a law firm and preparing to file a lawsuit,” he stated.
The controversy began when a user posted on Blind claiming that Mr. A had filmed their sexual encounter without consent, and that the user only discovered the existence of the video later. The post further alleged that Mr. A had shown the video to acquaintances, and was rumored to possess similar illegal videos involving other women. The writer said they were considering legal action.

As the post circulated and gained attention, a representative from Jisoo’s agency, BLISSOO, issued a brief response saying that the agency is “currently verifying the facts.”
Jisoo, who left YG Entertainment in 2023, is now both the CEO and artist under her own label, BLISSOO. She is expected to return with a new solo album this summer alongside BLACKPINK’s world tour.
Most recently, Jisoo appeared at a high-end fashion brand event at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul on April 18.
