BTS's label, Big Hit entertainment is plan on acquiring Zico's label, KOZ.
According to News1 on Sep. 3, 2020, Big Hit is preparing the acquisition of Zico's independent company.
One insider of the industry said, "Big Hit's CEO, Bang Si-hyuk has been actively talking with KOZ to discuss the possible buyout deal", "As far as I know, the talk is going towards positive direction".
In this regard, Big Hit said, "There are many possibilities", and added "But nothing has finalized yet" to carefully stated their position.
Earlier, Big Hit acquired 'GFRIEND's agency, Source Music and 'NU'EST' & 'Seventeen's Pledis entertainment.
Big Hit's CEO, Bang Si-hyuk and Zico appeared on Mnet's TV show, 'I-LAND' together.

“방시혁이랑…” 군대에 있는 지코, 조용히 가요계 새역사 쓸 준비하고 있었다
방탄소년단 소속사 빅히트 엔터테인먼트가 랩퍼 지코가 수장으로 있는 KOZ 엔터테인먼트 인수를 추진하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.
3일 뉴스1에 따르면 올해 빅히트 엔터테인먼트는 지코가 이끄는 KOZ 엔터테인먼트를 인수하기 위한 준비를 하고 있다.
한 가요 관계자는 "방시혁 대표가 KOZ 엔터테인먼트 측을 접촉, 인수와 관련한 논의를 활발히 진행 중"이라며 "현재까지는 긍정적으로 이야기가 오가고 있는 것으로 안다"라고 말했다.
이와 관련 빅히트 측은 "다양한 기회에 대해 열려있다"라면서도 "아직 결정된 것은 없다"며 신중한 입장을 밝혔다.
앞서 빅히트는 아이돌 그룹 '여자친구' 소속사 쏘스뮤직과 그룹 '뉴이스트', '세븐틴' 등이 몸담고 있는 플레디스 지분을 인수해 자사 산하 레이블로 뒀다.
방시혁 빅히트 대표는 지난 6월부터 방영 중인 엠넷 '아이랜드'에서 지코와 함께 출연했다. 방송에서 방시혁은 지코의 음악 세계를 존중하고 경청하는 모습을 보여줬다.
