MONSTA X's Joohoney is stepping down from his role as an MC on 'M COUNTDOWN' ahead of his military enlistment.

According to Starship Entertainment on the 19th, Joohoney will conclude his time as an MC on Mnet's music program 'M COUNTDOWN' after the broadcast on the 20th.
Joohoney has been active as an MC since February, alongside (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, for about six months. As a seasoned artist with nine years of experience, Joohoney showcased his maturity and sense of humor, displaying wit and engaging communication skills. His stable hosting earned him love from K-pop fans worldwide. However, with his upcoming military enlistment, Joohoney will step down from his MC position on the 20th.
Through his agency, Joohoney expressed his gratitude, stating, "I have been active as an 'M COUNTDOWN' MC for six months. Every moment was so precious. I am very grateful to Monbebe and global K-pop fans who have been with us every Thursday, the 'M COUNTDOWN' production staff, and (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, whom I hosted the show with."
He continued, "Thanks to all of you who have supported and loved MC Joohoney, I feel like I can say goodbye happily. Please continue to support 'M COUNTDOWN' in the future."
Meanwhile, Joohoney is set to enlist in the military on the 24th.
