Korean Singer Shim Shin, also the grandfather of KISS OF LIFE's Belle, Passes Away
Singer Shim Shin has tragically lost his father. The singer’s father passed away on the 12th at the age of 90.
Shim Shin is currently mourning and keeping vigil at the funeral hall. The wake is being held at the Namdaejeon Funeral Hall in Room 2, with the funeral scheduled for 9 a.m. on the 14th. The burial site will be at Daejeon Jeongsuwon – Daejeon Park Cemetery.

Shim Shin debuted in the Korean music industry in 1990 with the release of "Love You Even Your Sorrow" and quickly became a beloved figure in the 1990s with hit songs such as “Only One for You” and “Greedy.”
He was awarded multiple music accolades, including the New Artist Award at the 6th Golden Disc Awards in 1991, the New Artist Award at the 2nd Seoul Music Awards, and the New Artist Award at the KBS Song Festival, solidifying his position as a renowned singer with exceptional vocal talent. He continued to be popular, receiving the Excellence Award at the 3rd Seoul Music Awards in 1992.
Meanwhile, Shim Shin’s daughter, Belle (real name Shim Hye-won), is also active as a singer. Belle debuted in 2023 as the main vocalist of the girl group KISS OF LIFE and has garnered attention with her debut tracks, “Shhh,” “Midas Touch,” and “Sticky.” She is also actively involved in songwriting and composing.

Belle's talent as a songwriter and composer has been recognized, notably contributing to the writing and composition of LE SSERAFIM’s first full album title track "UNFORGIVEN." She also received the 'Proud Korean Award' in the Composer category at the 2023 Korea Best Brand Awards.
