Moments Before Kim Soo-hyun’s Press Conference, YouTube Channel Escalates Scandal with New Private Photos

Just hours before actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to address the public at a press conference, controversial YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute (Gaseyeon) has released additional private photos and statements related to his alleged past relationship with actress Kim Sae-ron.

On March 31, Gaseyeon uploaded a new post showing Kim Soo-hyun—sporting a buzz cut—eating a meal, accompanied by text referencing a supposed incident from 2016. The post claims that then-high school sophomore Kim Sae-ron had made him a home-cooked meal at 11:20 p.m., and that he sang her the ballad “Only You” from Moon Embracing the Sun at 1 a.m.

Gaseyeon also accused Kim of emotionally harming Kim Sae-ron, stating,

“You’ve already caused her enough pain. Stop targeting her family and issue a sincere public apology now—before something even worse happens.”

The post ended with a warning:

“Depending on what actions you take, we will respond accordingly.”

The renewed allegations follow increasing public attention after Kim Sae-ron’s family held a press conference on March 27, claiming Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with her when she was still a minor, contradicting his side’s previous claims that they only dated after she became an adult.

During the family’s briefing, they revealed excerpts of alleged 2016 messages between Kim and Kim Sae-ron, which included phrases like “I miss you,” “I want to hold you,” and heart emojis. They also shared a letter Kim Sae-ron had reportedly written, referring to their “5–6 years together” and expressing that he was both her “first and last love.”

Kim Sae-ron previously posted a photo of the two on social media, which sparked dating rumors at the time. She later explained she uploaded it hoping to reconnect with him.

The family’s legal representative further questioned,

“If these messages are not evidence of an underage relationship, then are we to interpret this as grooming?”

Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, has announced a press conference at 4:30 p.m. KST on March 31 at Stanford Hotel in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The actor and the agency’s legal counsel from LKB & Partners will release an official statement. However, the agency confirmed that there will be no Q&A session, citing the sensitive nature of the matter.

Attention is now focused on whether Kim will clarify the allegations or if his statement will spark further controversy.
