Jennie reveals a lighthearted moment of disappointment involving Yoo Jae-suk that fans noticed in a resurfaced clip
BLACKPINK's Jennie opened up about feeling slightly hurt by veteran entertainer Yoo Jae-suk—but not for the reasons you might expect.
Most recently, Jennie appeared on Yoo Jae-suk’s tvN variety show You Quiz on the Block, where she opened up about her viral Coachella performances, shared heartfelt reflections on fame, and even revealed how she boosted the stock price of a global F&B company.
But as fans took a deeper dive online, an older clip began making the rounds again. A moment from Jennie’s appearance on the YouTube variety show Pinggyego—now circulating under the title “Why Jennie Felt Let Down by Yoo Jae-suk”—has been drawing renewed attention. The episode also featured her Apartment 404 co-stars Oh Na-ra, Cha Tae-hyun, Yang Se-chan, and Lee Jung-ha, offering a glimpse into their off-screen chemistry and candid conversations.
Jennie shared that her sleep schedule had been chaotic. “I woke up at 7:45 this morning. I haven’t been sleeping well because of jet lag,” she said. “During promotions, I barely sleep at all. One time, I went almost four and a half days without sleeping—between music video shoots and back-to-back schedules.”
Yoo Jae-suk then talked about his long-standing friendship with Jennie. “We’ve known each other for about five years, since Village Survival, the Eight (Michuri),” he said. “Back then I used to greet her sweetly—like, ‘Jennie~ you’re here!’ But recently, Jennie told me she felt a little hurt.”
Curious, the cast asked why, and Yoo explained with a laugh, “She said I now greet her like I would a male junior—like, ‘Oh~ Jennie!’”
Jennie agreed playfully, adding, “He used to treat me like a little sister, all warm and caring. Now... not so much.” Her light-hearted complaint drew smiles and laughter from the cast.

Then, Oh Na-ra chimed in with a joke of her own: “Jennie, text me once in a while, okay?” Jennie laughed and said, “Should I?” Oh Na-ra shared a wholesome moment: “Last time I was with people and got a text from Jennie, I yelled, ‘It’s Jennie!’ I was so excited.”
Fans were charmed by Jennie’s adorable honesty and the cast’s natural chemistry, reigniting appreciation for their variety show dynamics and sense of humor.
